Xu Heng Kairos Chiu is a law student (LLB, Queensland University of Technology) and founder of Vera Everline P/L, an Australian company building trustworthy and AI-ready solutions for institutional adoption.
He believes that generative and agentic AI, and autonomous non-human technologies generally, must be appropriately regulated for the benefit of humanity. His work spans AI governance frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, Australian AI Safety Guidelines, ISO/IEC 42001), regulatory mapping, and translating frontier model mechanics into auditable trails.
He is currently based in Sydney, Australia, and works bilingually in English and Mandarin. Alongside his entrepreneurial ventures into RegTech and AI, his experience spans from boutique criminal law and conveyancing, to ecommerce, digital marketing, management consulting, keynote speaking, youth volunteering, and songwriting.
His wide range of interests include sociology, philosophy, poetry, Medieval Latin, ancient & world religion, sartoria, wine and the study of the human condition.
